The stone in hand, with its GIA report alongside.
A single natural oval of 1.01ct, sourced for a wedding ring. Ovals reward careful selection more than rounds do: the length-to-width ratio and the way the bow-tie shadow falls across the centre vary from stone to stone, and neither of those appears on a certificate. They have to be looked at.

The photographs and film here show the stones as sourced. Images of the finished jewellery will be added once each piece has been fabricated and the diamonds mounted.
Every stone I source is accompanied by independent certification from a recognised gemological laboratory, and I talk the client through what that report actually says before any decision is made.
